Developing Emotional Competence Program - Summary of Measure Results for Four Programs /
Two Groups for an International Commercial Furniture Manufacturer
From July 2004 through March 2005 a series of four sessions were facilitated for two groups of
high-potential employees (managers through senior vice-president level). The program included a
pre-program presentation, pre and post program surveys, pre-program interviews, a two-day developmental
session, post program coaching sessions, impact interviews, and a final report. A total of 63
participants were trained. Overall, a 49% sample (31 participants) participated in the end of course
impact interviews.

Executive Results
Forty (40) Executives participated in the multi-contact, Enhancing Personal Effectiveness
Emotional Intelligence skill development program. Each executive had responsibility for 1000 to 5000
employees and represented his/her organization in five mid-western states. Three months after the
last training session, confidential, one-hour interviews were conducted with a sample of ten (10)
executives to gauge program effectiveness. Executives were asked to share any improvement they
experienced in the personal goals for the program.

Case Study - Chemical Company
The Inner Quality Management (IQM) programme is based on scientific research and has been shown to
impact a wide variety of health and business performance indicators. The IQM programme is formatted as a
one-day workshop accommodating up to 20 attendees. Because of this compelling scientific evidence, a
major Chemical Company organised a pilot study to evaluate the efficacy of this new technology within a
corporate setting. The data presented here represents the results of the IQM programme run for the main
board and heads of the business units. This data summarises the changes experienced by some 18 attendees
on two separate IQM programmes held in September of 1998.
